It's openoffice.org2-thesaurus-<language>-<country>. For example, American English is openoffice.org2-thesaurus-en-us.

I found openoffice.org-thesaurus-en-u but when I try to install it via Synaptic, it shows that it is going to uninstall the following: Mozilla-openoffice.org, openoffice.org2, openoffice.org2-base,openoffice.org2-cal, openoffice.org2-common, openoffice.org2-core, openoffice.org2-draw, openoffice.org2-evolution, and so on then it goes on to say that it will uninstall python-uno and ubuntu-desktop.

thats a problem with the openoffice.org-thesaurus-en-u package right?

I am having the exact same problem. It wants to unistall OpenOffice2 when I try to install the thesaurus. Seems to be the same with hyphenation package also.
