how to make a shortcut to slideshow

I'm wondering if there is a way to put a shortcut on the desktop that will automatically start an impress slide show without opening the program and clicking "slide show"

any help would be appreciated

You can open the file, than go to File > Save As and choose Microsoft Powerpoint 97/XP/2000 (.pps).
