JRE (Java) is neede by writer. How to get it?

I can't open some files in OO and get the message: JRE missing. This seems to be the JAVA files. Question: werw can I find a working JRE ?

Just install the latest Java runtime Environment(JRE). It can be done using the terminal, by typing-

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre

This will install the JRE in your system, which the Open ofice will automatically detect.
