highlighted cell color to dim

Asked by jeffynimori

THE COLOR OF CELLS I WANT TO USE IN A COPY, PASTE, ETC. WENT FROM DARK TO A FAINT TAN . I DON'T RECALL DOING ANYTHING TO CHANGE THE COLOR. HOW DOES ONE CHANGE THE HIGHLIGHTED COLOR OF SPECIFIED CELLS TO A DIFFERENT COLOR. I TRIED TOOLS-OPTIONS-COLORS-BACKGROUND BUT THAT CHANGED THE COLOR IN THE COMPLETE SPREADSHEET. THE COLOR OF THE CURRENT CELL LOCATION (ROW - COLUMN) INDICATOR ALSO CHANGED.

I think the colour of the highlighted cells is linked to your general desktop theme colour. It is a lighter version of the colour of the window title bar. So did you change your desktop theme recently?

For instance the shading of selected cells will be darker if you use the Human theme (in System > Preferences > Appearance) than if you use the Human-Clearlooks theme.
