OO always uses its own Open/Save Dialogs

Asked by Lutz Andersohn

Even though I uncheck the "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs" option in Options-General I get the OO dialogs and not the standard GNOME Open/Save dialog boxes. Is this a bug in OO that this check box seems to be ignored?
I installed OO from the Jaunty repositories, version 3.1.1 build 9420

I dislike 3.1.1 version and the only thing can say - perhaps, it's a bug
but you can try to use OOo with default settings having renamed or removed openoffice.org configuration folder (/home/*user*/.openoffice.org (it's hidden, nautilus menu-view-check show hidden) - maybe it can help.

Raiden, thanks for your answer. I share your dislike of 3.1.1, there seem to be several small issues which make it just not very user friendly, this Open/Save dialog being one.
Unfortunately your suggestion didn't really do anyhthing but it confirmed my suspicion that it's OOo and not me :)
Thanks
