disabling insert mode in a document

Asked by PatrickRJohnson

a document I created was edited on another machine and the changed text was inserted in a mode that renders the characters in blue, shows cross-outs, etc. How do I disable this insert mode so that it reverts back to regular text?

You probably had (on the other machine) OpenOffice -- and I am assuming you were talking about OpenOffice -- set to Edit/Changes/Record.

RIght now you can Edit/Changes/Accept or Reject" to accept or reject the changes made.

On the other machine unset Edit/Changes/Record; do the same on your machine, and OO will not mark changes anymore.
