how do i print more than one picture to a page?

i have some pictures i want to print on A4 paper and i want each picture to be A5 size with out printing a page for each picture to save on paper? i need help.

If you don't want to go the graphic way and create a picture out of two existing and print them afterwards:

You could use OpenOffice Writer t
Open a new Page
Insert
  Picture
    from File (1st picture)
Place it on the upper half of the page and, if necessary, resize to fit
Insert
  Picture
    from File (2nd picture)
Place it on the lower half of the page and, if necessary, resize to fit

Or you could use gnome photo printer
System
  Administration
    Synaptic Package Manager

Search for gnome photo printer
