i can't write in arabic language in word processor prog.

Hi Karim

Sorry no-one has been in touch with you yet. I will try and help you.

Have you installed the Arabic language pack for Ubuntu yet? If you have not, go to System > Language Support and click on the Install/Remove Languages button. Select Arabic. You will need to select Basic and Extra Translations and Input Methods, and maybe some other Components.

If you have Arabic Language pack already installed, you may need to add the Extra Translations and Input Methods Components.

If you have all these installed, Go to the OpenOffice menus and take Tools > Options > Language Setting > Languages. Make sure you have Arabic selected and the Enhance Language Support option for Complex Text Layout (CTL) checked. Also, under Default Language for Documents > CTL, select you version of Arabic.

I think this will give you the ability to write in Arabic.
