8.04: OpenOffice3.1: strange time format

Asked by peter

Hi

In the Writer I created a document and I inserted a table. In the first column I entered the time as 10.00. And the Writer made 10.00.00 (inclusive the seconds). And the seconds can't be deleted.

How can I prevent the seconds? Thanks a lot.
Peter

Go Table-->Number Format, under Category click on Time and choose under Format the layout you wish.

I'm sorry for the shortness of my answer.
I tried it:
In the menu bar (File, Edit, View etc) there is "Table". Clicking on it you have an option "Number Format..." near the bottom of the dropping window. When the cursor is in a cell of a table this option is active and you can choose the format of the numbers in the cells.

When you type colon ":" after a number in a cell, Writer accepts you are entering time and formats it in the chosen way.
