I need to copy a file to a cd. It is a file of photos in my documents

Asked by von hogan

I have moved my photos making sure they are jpeg to a single file. I just wanted to copy the photos that are in this specific file. to a CD. I can't find any place that will let me do so. I can copy a document that I type, so why not the photos??
Steps taken are:
enter open office
go to hogan to documents& open; go to my documents & open; go to my pictures & open; go to Chloe & Matsu 2007 and open, click down file go to export and it opens an empty file or lets you choose, save does the same thing.
I want to copy the file to a CD.

If you right click on a file and choose 'Send to' it should give you 'CD/DVD' creator in the drop down 'Send As' list.

Just to clarify on what Tony Purcell said above, you should be able to transfer anything (that's not too large) onto a CD if you do it in Nautilus (the file manager; if on Kubuntu use Dolphin instead, if on Xubuntu use Thunar) instead if within OpenOffice. Clicking on the icon for the CD on the left should open an area you can drag 'n' drop files to from another file manager window, or you can right-click them as Tony says and "send to->CD/DVD Creator"

Or you can open CD/DVD creator (Applications > Accessories > CD/DVD creator) and drag & drop files to it.
