Autocorrect is possessed! - Solved

Asked by Wolf Halton

I turned off all options for autocorrect and it is still autocorrecting. "MD5" turns into "Md5"

I write technical stuff that is full of inconsistancies, i.e., a sentence like, "nmap is used for mapping networks." is valid and I do not want the thing to be Kurrected! Openoffice.org 3.0.1, Ubuntu 9.04, Gnome Desktop

I noticed a tools link called Autocorrect...
This is where to set autocorrect properties!

Yes, go to Tools >> Autocorrect Options...

For the above two problems, what you need to do is to open the 'Options' tab and uncheck the second and third options. However, I find that MD5 never corrects to Md5, but MDa does correct to Mda (with these options checked).

Hope this helps

Tony
