How to update Open Office 3 in Ubuntu

Asked by Richard

I installed Open Office 3 some time ago, successfully, but I would appear to have got the APT address wrong to allow updates in the List of Software Repositories. Please help, and also if there should be an authentication key.

Could not find an answer there. Looks like others have, or have had, this problem! Also, I have not found the public authentication key yet. It may be that OO3 is not supported by Ubuntu hardy?

hi,
OOo3 is supported by Ubuntu Jaunty, not hardy.
the best solution (when you realy need OOo3) is to upgrade to jaunty. Notice that jaunty is not a LTS!

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Richard for more information if necessary.
