heading don't appear in Navigator, after changes in formatting of headings

Asked by PTS

For me, the navigator is an important tool to access parts of the text. However, not all headings, e.g. text formatted as "heading1" etc. appears in the text. Even more, after formatting headings, such headings disappear in the Navigator. I appears to me, that it has to something with numbering. Headings disappear from the Navigator window espeically, when I insert or delete numbering form the "heading"-styles.

headings have to be registered via the "Outline" function available in the "Tabe of Contentts" dialogue. I would suggest, to make the "Outline" function and menu also available via the "Numbering" menu.

Re-formatting text in Open Office
I have a text file which is pre-formatted in such a way that it occupies only half of the the page width. I was not able to find out how to reformat it automatically to make whole width of the page filled. I tried to make search for the line-breaking signs in order to replace them by spasing. The search simply does not see this sign ( under Windows in MS office this is possible to do). Any help?
