OO 3.0, Calc, Writer

Asked by peter

Hi

I've a spreadsheet with two columns. I would get a copy of the spreadsheet data for the Writer.

I copied the whole spreadsheet to the Writer. But after the insert of the data the data was placed somewhere in the document and the data looked like an object. It was surrounded by a border and it was movable.

How can I copy the spreadsheet data to the Writer as I'm used to do it with Word and Excel?

Thanks for your answer.
Peter

Good morning Peter,
it's simple:
1- copy your spreadsheet text
2- in the writer do a special paste using ctrl+shift+v. then choose the paste mode. the more appropriate choice for you will be "formatted text"

Hope this solve your problem.

In Calc select your cells and press Ctrl+c

In Writer press Ctrl+Shift+v (or use Edit, Paste Special) and choose "Unformatted text".

If you want the copied information from the spreadsheet to assume the style used in the word processor then use "unformatted text".

Try it and see for yourself.
