Hi, you don't need to install it, just make sure to save your document as .doc and it works like a charm!

In OpenOffice Write, go to File menu then click on Save As and then y the document type select Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP.

Hope this help

Hi

Take care. OO 3.0 is not hundred percent compatible. If you have columns in a word document, it's not sure that OO 3.0 is able to show them correct.

Maybe you can install MS Office with wine. The Synaptic package manager contains wine. From there you can install it. But I'm not sure, if you will be able to install MS Office.
