Full slide, not thumbnail, on notes page

Asked by RWShore

Platform: Linux splitter 2.6.27-11-server #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 20:13:12 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Impress version: 2.4.1 installed via Adapt package manager

I have a presentation that was probably converted from PowerPoint originally but has been saved (through multiple iterations) as a native Impress presentation. When I display notes, there is no thumbnail of the slide. Instead, the entire slide gets dumped onto the page, full size - not reduced and definitely not within the notes page boundaries. This occurs for all slides in the presentation, included ones that I know I created since the conversion from PowerPoint. I can remove the non-thumb thumbnail from the notes page, but I can't see any way to get a real thumbnail on the page.

Anybody have any suggestions?

hi,
on your notes page, select the slide and goto:
format > position and size > uncheck protect size (on the first tab)

now, you should be able to change the size of your slide (using this dialog or the grips on the boundaries of your thumbnail)

please let us now whether this solves your problem

greetz,

Yes, that fixed it - or at least it allowed me to resize the slide on the notes page so it'd fit where it should. Of course, it's a PITA to do this on each slide. Is this a bug that should be reported someplace?

when you can reproduce the behavior you can file a bug-report...:
