Number Format - Negative Numbers

Asked by srikumar

The negative numbers in OpenOffice Spreadsheet is shown with a minus sign (-) ; which does not show up well when printed in black and white. - I guess colour printing would show the negative number in red.

Is it possible to show negative numbers within brackets () - for eg: so that 100 - 120 = (20) which makes it quite visible in a printed document rather that -20.

Any suggestions ?
thank you

Go to Format - Cells - Tab Number

Click Number in category

Look at Format code

By default it is write 0

Change the number so it looks like

0;(0)

The first number is a format of positive number ...
And the second number is a format of negative number ...
