How to update a table of content in an OpenOffice ODT document?

I have imported a MSO DOC document with a table of content into an OO ODT one.
After editing the document the TOC doesn't get updated as the text has been moved.
I've tried Tools-->Update but it doesn't update anything I can see.
Any hint?

Hi Uqbar

To create a table of contents do the following:

1: Go to the top of the document and enter a paragraph.
2: Choose "Index" as type of this paragraph
3: Click "Insert"
4: Click "Indexes and tables"
5: Click "Indexes and tables ..."
6: Click ok

Now you'll get the table of contents.

To update a table of contents, do the following:

1: Position the mouse in the table of contents
2: Right click the mouse button
3: Choose "Update Index/Table"

This will update your table of contents.

The Table is already there.
If I right click in it I don't see any "Update Index/Table".

I deleted the old one and created a new one.
