Please! I do not understand what, if anything, you want me to download.

Just, please, answer my question in a straightforward way:

    Question: How do I obtain a simple TOTAL, not for a spreadsheet;
                     just a total for the figures I put into the calculator!!!

If you got a reply from me, it was by accident, sorry :(

Once you are in the calculator, the keyboard keys (or the keys on the displayed) "keyboard" on the screen may be used. <enter> or "=" may be used to get a result.

If you haven't found the calculator, it is on the menu as:
Applications ⟶ Accessories ⟶ Calculator
or "Galculator".

If and only if neither is on your menu do you have to download anything.

Hope this helps,

There might also be a KDE calculator on your system.
