installation of ms office on kubuntu 8.10

how to install Open Office 3 in kubuntu 8 10
Hi people
i just want to know weather i can install ms office 2003 on kubuntu(and im using the latest version of wine) if yes kindly send me the screen shots or the procedure to do it

Hello, why not you use mozilla thunder bird for email application?
It's better than Outlook 2003

by default, ubuntu have evolution installed (email application), but I more comfort using thunderbird...
To use Evolution, goto menu application-internet-evolution ...

To install Thunderbird
Open synaptic in menu System-Administration-Synaptic Package manager, click Search, type Thunderbird ...
just install it, and use it ...

thanks for the information abi
but the thing is that i ve data which is in ms outlook format i think its (.pst extention) so will i be able to view that if i install thunderbird

you can import your outlook data into Evolution or Thunderbird. I'm more familiar with thunderbird myself as well as its cross platform. here's the instructions:

guys
 I tried that(installing thunderbird which was sucessful) but my .pst file is not getting imported

I did that but it has only 4 .extention files .lflt .csv and 2 more . not .pst i tried renaming it to .csv but it didnt work either
