Is there a way to import/easily make a timeline in the open-office word processor or presentation applications? Does anyone have a template for a time-lines?

Have you looked at the OpenOffice website? There is a link to this site http://ooextras.sourceforge.net/. It provides all kinds of templates and extras for OpenOffice from the community.
