Can't print the grid lines in Calc

Asked by wbmcleod

Trying to print out a form to track my med use, in Calc. The printer prints out the contents of row 1 (various pills), but won't print the grid lines. I have followed the local instructions (tools, options, OpenOffice-Calc, view, etc.) but nothing changes. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance..... Bill

Select all the cells that should have borders around.

Format->cells-> under the tab Borders -> select the icon which has inner and outer borders set under line arrangement.

I hope this helps

I'm also having the same issue. I've done everything stated above and, my grid lines won't show in preview nor print. Is there something I'm missing?

Hi Brittany

Exactly what you need to do is

1. Highlight the cells you want borders round. Do this explicitly on the grid. I.e not just by clicking against a row or column

2. Go Format > Cells... > Borders tab > Line Arrangement.

3. Select the icon that gives you 'Set Outer Border and All Inner Lines' when you hover the mouse over it. If you do not have an icon that gives this description, then you have not highlighted the cells correctly.

If this does not work, let us know.

Tony

Thank you very much Tony.
That worked fine this time, I was highlighting all the cells before and, the border would always go back to default. It also seemed to help with me making the grid a bit bolder as well.

Thanks again, Brittany
