delete a document on Open Office.

Are you trying to remove text inside the document or the document itself?

I'm trying to remove both text inside the document and document from my
docs list.
If I want to add some new text, it is always blue coloured, without the
line on the words and can be cancelled and or modified. The old text can
not be removed and/or modified.
If I open my docs list, highlight the doc and strike CANC it does not
work. No such problem for all other docs. Tks.

Hi Licia,
according to this mail there is no simple option to clear the history of docs in OpenOffice.
If you want to keep the text within the document, try copy&paste it to a new one.
If this doesn't work and you don't really want to lose the text, make a screenshot from the frame with Alt+print.
If you sure want to remove it navigate to the place you've saved it within your file browser and delete it there.
e.g.
/home/Licia/documents/my_problem_doc
right click and move it to trash
