formula

I got a problem with formula
I would like to put equations,I know that I can do this with FORMULA, I found it in INSERT->OBJECT->FORMULA....
but,I can't use it,it's unavaliable...why?

Hola,

Do you have openoffice math installed? That might fix your problem.

The package is openoffice.org-math, you can search it on synaptic or do this on the terminal:

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-math

when you installed Open Office, did you check the install Math? I dont remember if it was selected by default or If i'm wrong on this part.

Mine works the way you indicated, but it seems I remember something about Math not being selected by default.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/openoffice.org-math

To install type the following command in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-math
