Create a reusable business letterhead

Asked by Donna Simonds

I am starting a home business with OOWriter as my only word processor. Is there a way to create a letterhead that I can print up myself on blank stationary to save my new biz some money starting out?

Sure, you can just create a normal document and save it as a template. When you save the document, change the file type to Open Office Template.

When you want to create a new document using the template, choose New -> Template and select your document. OO.o will create a new Untitled document that contains your template data.

Another way to do this, is to create a document that contains your letterhead information, print it off 50 times, then when you create a document, alter the margins to prevent the document overwriting the existing information on the paper.

Finally, if you want to get all fancy, you could consider using the Draw component to create your paper.
