installing new dictionaries (spanish)

I can't install new dictionary using the assistant, because after the language selection (spanish), appears a small windows that cannot be managed.
This happens in OOv2.4 into ubuntu 8.04. The same operation in OOv2.3 into ubuntu 7.10 worked OK.

Its a known problem with OO in ubuntu with compiz enabled

(and its being worked upon)

So its a known problem with compiz + Open office

So please turn off or disable compiz

Sadly: I cheked and COMPIZ was not active....

Sorry, I was wrong, a compiz directory exists. I wonder how to disable compiz

Just right click on desktop and click change desktop background or System > preferences > appearance and under visual effects tab click on none
