cannot get Forms Wizard to work in Open Office database

Asked by Ron Brady

Whenever I try to run the forms Wizard in Open Office Database it will not run. I have reinstalled and downloaded all updates. Any suggestions? Note that all of the other Wizards seem to be working properly.

It happens to me too.
According to this: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=70331
it's a debian problem (I suppose we inherit it)
However, no solution at sight.

Similar report exists @ launchpad:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/distros/baltix/+bug/30483

I suspected as much. I am new to debian and I am still trying to get my
arms around it (am suffering from MS brainwashing.) Thanks for the info.

It happens to me to, it creates a beautiful form automatically but you can't save it, or finish it, at the final stage of the wizard

I guess we just manually build each form or import them from other databases until one of us comes up with a fix.

Thanks!

I finally gave up and loaded Open Suse 10.2. All of the wizard problems
went away. It took a small amount of practice to get used to the new
operating system but was well worth it. Open Office runs much better in
Suse.

Good luck
