Open Office Menu Options Have dark background

Asked by Bill H

All the menus in open office have a gray background making the menu items hard to read. Not sure how/when I made that change, nor can I find how to remove the background color. Hovering over items that produce a pop-up window with also appear with a gray background.

How do I change the background back to clear or white so I can read the menu selections?

Thanks

No. Do not know where the hidden config folder is, or home folder.

Press ALT + F2 and run:

nautilus

That is the home folder. If you show hidden folders you may see a .openoffice folder (or similar). If not then open the .config folder and see if something in there looks right. Rename the folder and then rerun an Open Office application.

Can you help with this problem?
