Asked by michael combs

On open office -- when inserting columns within a document, i don't want the "automatically distribute text evenly option; yet when i cancel that option it doesn't allow me to enter text into the second column.

i would like to be the one in charge of what text goes where.

how can i enter text in the second column?

Perhaps this:-

Insert > Manual Break > Column Break

Or maybe use frames?
