OS hangs on shutdown seems an openoffice related issue

Asked by Nolan

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx - After using OpenOffice, the system hangs when I request a shutdown.

When I go into Task Manager and kill soffice the system is able to shutdown. How can I get it to shutdown cleanly??

Navigate to openoffice settings options and please try to disable the quickstarter option

The click path menu of openoffice is some like this:

“Tools” > “Options…” > “OpenOffice.org” > “Memory” > “OpenOffice.org Quickstarter” > “Enable systray Quickstarter”

Can you help with this problem?
