convert number as text to numeric value

Importing list of numbers into spreadsheet from csv file puts them in as text not numbers. How do I get them back to numerics?

Hi Michael

In the Text Import dialogue you do have the opportunity to give a column type that is different from Standard.

If you have already imported the data, highlight the column, go Format > Cells and specify the number type under the Numbers tab.
