how to set a diferent header on first page

I am trying to write an essay with apa format, required ia a running head only on the first page and the title alone without the word running head should appear in the rest of the pages. I know how to do it in microsoft word but not in open office.

Hi Angel,

you need to use a different "page style" for the first page.

Set up the headers as you would for the whole document, then click on the first page, open the styles and formatting dialog (format menu), and then select the "page" icon.

Now change the page style from "default" to something different, like "first page". NOw you can set up the header independently of the rest.
