how to convert file.odt to file.doc so window can read

All my files were .odt, my friend could not read them Would you please help me to convert existing file.odt to file.doc so that window software can read.

in the file menu is the save as, you can then select Word format, should be ok. If the file is text only I suggest you use RTF, It is an open standard and will be super compatible between

Open it with Libreoffice or OpenOffice then select save as to save into actionparsnip suggested format...
