Cannot duplex print in OO and LibreOffice

Asked by Ricardo

I have a HP 6500A plus printer. It has duplex print capabilities. It actually duplex print pdf documents and may be gimp documents (I hve not tested but at least the option is there.
Anyway, in OO writer when It come to duplex print, also OO has detected the duplex printing capability of the printer, the only choice given by the printer "properties>paper>duplex " dialog is "OFF" or "Ignore".
Is there a way to have the option turned to : Duplex "ON". ?

Thanks a lot

Richard

Install the latest HPLIP and delete the current printer, reinstall the printer and you should be offered if you want to enable the duplex.

This did not help me at all, I tried it three times and each one would not allow me to duplex.

Hi

What paper size are you using? There is a comment at

http://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP/HP-OfficeJet_6500_Wireless

that says you cannot print borderless (ie using A4 Borderless) and duplex.
