No Cell Background Color in Calc

Asked by Jeff Rash

I can't seem to get my cell background colors to show up. When I go to "Format Cell" the color shows set, but you don't see it on the spreadsheet.

You make a new sheet with openoffice calc 2.2 (2.3?) select a cell, right click it, select format cell, select background, select a color, click accept and the cell color background does not change?

Yes, that is correct.

It seems to have something to do with my GTK theme. If I change to one of the standard themes the colors display as expected.

I can verify this and it seems to have to do with using dark themes with light font colors. The "high contrast, inverted"-theme is a standard one and I have the same problem with it.
