i want to get my unsaved item in open office word untitled 1.

I want to retrieve now if i open its starts with untitled 2 so am sure it is still there

Hi Edwin

I think 'Untitled 1' must have been open when you did File > New > Text Document, for you to get 'Untitled 2', so either it is still open or you closed it without Saving.

Did anything odd happen?

If there was some sort of crash, then close and save all your OpenOffice.org documents and when you open OpenOffice.org again you may get the Recovery option.
