how to create a questionnaire

I want to create a document which has a list of questions which can't be later edited. When I go back to use the document to answer the questions, I want to just type answers, not change the questions. This quest

Hi Catherine

Go into Help and look in the Index for 'protected contents'. There is a link a the bottom for Protecting Content in OpenOffice.org Writer.

If you a really brave you might consider using forms - but that is too big a topic to go into here. There are manuals, etc at

Yes, I have been fiddling around with using forms, but figured there must be a simpler way.

Your suggestion is good.

Also I discovered that in creating a new section there is an option to allow particular sections to be edited within a read-only file. So another option is to make the whole file read-only, with specially marked sections that can be edited.
