OpenOffice default spacing around formulas / objects

Asked by Ben Klein

In OpenOffice, I can remove the spacing around formula objects on a per-object basis. How do I set this as the default or apply it globally to all formulas in a document?

Hi Ben

Formula objects have a default Frame style of Formula. Click on the formula frame and you should see Formula in the style box (leftmost item on the formatting toolbar).

So to change the defaults for this you need to modify the Formula frame style, as follows:

1. Format > Styles and Formatting open the Styles panel.

2. Click on the third icon from the left (Frame Styles).

3. Right click on the Formula style and select Modify.

4. There all sorts of options available. You probably want to modify the Spacing on the Wrap tab.

5. Format > Styles and Formatting again, closes the Styles panel.

Hope that helps.

Tony
