How to replace CR LF in a doc with CR LF in openoffice

A doc produced on a Canon Starwriter 85 has formatting in the form ##u##. Find and replace will find all these but will not replace with a Line Feedor Tab. How do you do this?

I used a combination of www.bing.com and www.google.com

and got this page:
