cannot group objects in open office word processor program

I followed the instructions under grouping objects in open office.org writer help but the objects will not group. I want to group the two objects in my logo for insertion on several web pages.

Hi Carol

You don't say what kind of objects.

If I have two drawing objects - a face and a double ended arrow in my trial case - I can select them both together by using Crtl-Shift as I click them. This put them in a single 'frame'. If I then do Edit > Copy and Edit > Paste. I get a copy of both. (The only little problem is that you may not realise in this test, that the copy is on top of the original).

Of course, I am pasting onto the same document. They may not paste together somewhere else. Exactly where are you pasting to?
