10.10: Writer

Asked by peter

Hi

In the Writer I would capture two inverted commas (""). But the first one is placed down and only the second one is placed up.

What can I do to get two inverted commas placed up? Thanks a lot.

Can you give a screenshot (or screenshots) to highlight your issue. Use imageshack or photobucket or similar to host it

Thanks

Hi

How can I add a screenshot to my message in this forum?

photobucket does not exist. I have two packages for imageshack: imageshack-uploader and imageshack-uploader-common. Which one should I use?

"": This would be correct. But the first one is placed down.

Thanks for your hint.

That sounds like a foreign language setting (I think german, or spanish sometimes does this).

Try disabling autocorrect.

You're right, mycae. It's German.

What do you mean with disabling autocorrect? The content of auto correct seems to be ok and there's no possibility to handle inverted commas.

Hmm, well image-uploader isn't in the Ubuntu repos but it is in the debian ones.

Can you give the output of:

gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Thanks

The problem has solved: Tools > AutoCorrect > Localized Options: There one can change the Custom quotes. Thanks.
