Open File from a different directory when using Openoffice

Asked by Ralph Muzio

I am trying to access different subdirectories using Open Office. I have previously used MS-Office and due to different work situations I save files to different subdirectories rather than defaulting to just one. Is there an easy and intuitive way to do this?

how you save and retrieve files in openoffice is exactly the same as in msword.

however, with ubuntu, you can set up your subdirectories in the file manager so your files are one click away.

Thanks for the first response - but the real question should have been is how do I access directories already set up with files that I already and frequently use. They are in my windows shared documents folders. Thanks

If you mount the share, you can access them like you do normal files etc

Can you help with this problem?
