inserting mp4 movie in impress

I am not able to insert an MP4 movie in impress. When I choose Insert-Movie and sound and inserted the MP4 movie, all I get on the impress slide is a image of megaphone cartoon. How do I sort this out?

There is a 'fix' there. However, the Help does also warn that some file types listed are not supported on all operating systems. Do MP4 movies play in other programs for you?
