Load the file into openoffice, and then when saving the file, there is a dropdown box for the file type. Set it to word document.

Note that the conversion can sometimes be imperfect; so for best results you should actually check it on a word computer, or better simply export it as a PDF from openoffice instead, if the end result need not be edited.
