Possibility to edit EXIF data

Asked by Jakob Fix

I'm very happy with gthumb safe for one thing: I would like to be able to add EXIF comments using gthumb. The comment system built into gthumb only creates zipped XML files for each photo.

Would it be possible to also add a possible to edit EXIF comments using gthumb? Well, thinking of it, being able to manipulate EXIF data in general (adding photo creation dates for example, batchwise) would be very interesting, indeed.

This would make an automated treatment of pictures later much easier (think: creation of an XML file containing the associated comments by extracting them from the photo using a tool like Imagemagick's identify, or any other available EXIF data reader).

The developer of GThumb has asked that anyone requesting enhancements of the software post them in the GNOME bugzilla. You can access it here:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=gthumb

You can also contact him at: http://gthumb.sourceforge.net
Or via email: <email address hidden>

I'm going to go ahead and call this answerd.
