OO 3.2 Impress. Typed text always in the middle of slide

Asked by oonewbie

When I type the body (not the header) of the slide, I have to begin by clicking the middle of the slide where it says "click here to type" When I click there and start typing, the text starts appearing in the middle of the slide and not at the top of the slide. I find this very uncomfortable. Is there a fix? Thank You

Highlight the frame and Right Click. Select Text. On the Text tab you see a diagram headed Text Anchor. It defaults to the middle of the frame. Click on the Top Left position for the text to start top left in the frame. This change will only apply to the current slide.

If you want your selection to apply to all the slides, then you need to start with Edit Style and do the change on the Text tab there.

Hope that helps

Tony
