Pivot column in sheet1 to row in sheet2

Asked by Jason Greene

How do I make sheet2/row1 equal sheet1/column1 without having to manually do each cell?

i.e.
sheet2.a1=sheet1.a1
sheet2.b1=sheet1.a2
sheet2.c1=sheet1.a3
sheet2.d1=sheet1.a4

thanks

Jason

In the formula box once you have the first one like A1=sheet2.a1 for example. Look at the cell that you have highlighted there will be a black handle. Click and drag that down the column. That should autofill the formula all the way down.

Select some cells in a the column in the first sheet. Copy. Select same amount of cells in a row in the second sheet. Paste Special, mark Transpose (and maybe Link, if you want them to update automatically).
