You can use OpenOffice draw menu Applications→Graphics→OpenOffice Drawing

But i found very powerful the Dia Diagram Editor app to create organisational chart

Please first enable the universe repository:

- In Ubuntu 10.10
Open System → Administration → Update manager : click on Settings (bottom, left) button Open the → [ Tab Ubuntu software ]
enable "Community Maintained open source software (universe)"
Close and confirm the repository reload.

- For older releases...

Open System → Administration → Software sources → [ Tab Ubuntu software ]
enable "Community Maintained open source software (universe)"
Close and confirm the repository reload.

Here some repositories details: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu

Then open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo aptitude update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo aptitude install dia

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Or install using the Application→Software center tool

You will find dia under menu Applications→Graphics

Can you help with this problem?
