How do I create a tooltip in an OO word processor HTML document?

Asked by Deedon

I'm creating a web page in OpenOffice word processor. I would like to create some tooltips for links to show what the web site is all about. How do I go about creating the tooltips? Do I need any additional programs or widgets or whatever?

One quick way is to edit the hyperlink in OOo (right click and select Edit Hyperlink) and add a Name but put the tooltip text you want in the Name box. The use a text editor to change NAME= to TITLE= in the HTML.

One word of caution. If you use Edit hyperlink in OOo again, it will remove this attribute.

Hope this helps
