OpenOffice Presentation inline formula

Asked by Ben Klein

In OpenOffice presentation, is it possible to insert a formula inline with the text on the slide? If so, how?
I have tried inserting a formula, but it put it in the center of the slide, in a smaller font, in its own box. I am trying to put it in the text box, at the same size as the rest of the text.

Hi Ben

The formula editor will always put the formula into its own frame. When you have the formula editor open, you can do Format > Font Size to change the size of the formula font. When you are on the slide, you can right click on the formula frame, and select Position & Size. If you then uncheck Protect > Size, you can alter the overall size of the formula. It is best to have Keep Ratio checked when you do this.

When you are editing the slide you can just drag the formula frame anywhere you want it, including into into any other frame.

Hope that helps

Tony

Actually, I was referring to having it be treated *as* a character in the text field, so that it would be animated with the rest of the line wihtout having to fudge around.

Hi Ben

If there is an answer it is above me, I'm afraid as I am not particularly expert with Impress presentations. Can I suggest you try asking about this in the OpenOffice.org forums at
